Park Place Church Winter Closure Policies
Inclement Weather & Emergency Closure Guidelines:
Weather and road conditions may vary, so if it is unsafe to drive, please do not attempt to do so!
Purpose of Guidelines:
The purpose of this policy is to prioritize the safety of all individuals associated with Park Place Church, including guests, members, volunteers, and staff. During severe or hazardous weather conditions or other emergencies such as power outages, communications will be sent regarding the status of church ministries and activities.
Park Place Church will notify staff, congregation, and groups as soon as possible about any closures due to inclement weather or other adverse conditions.
The decision to close the church or cancel activities will be made by the Chairman of Trustees and the Senior Pastor.
Weekday Closings/Delays:
If Oregon City School District is closed all day due to inclement weather, all church programs and activities will be canceled.
If Oregon City School District is delayed, then all church programs and activities scheduled during the time of the delay will be canceled. Any programs scheduled after the delay will be held as planned.
Evenings:
If Oregon City School District closes early or cancels weekday evening activities, all Park Place Church evening activities will be canceled.
Sunday services:
Service cancellation decisions will be made by 7:30 am on Sunday morning. The decision to cancel services will be based on the most recent weather, road conditions, and the state of the church parking lot.
