Ministry Team

Our passion is to see the glory of Jesus Christ lived out in every life. We devote ourselves to this mission through our worship, teaching, preaching, relationships, and just by living life together. It’s our pleasure to get to join with you in this awesome journey called life!
Pastor Josh Shelton
Pastor Josh came to our church in February, 2019. Before coming to Park Place he was Pastor of Student Ministries at our sister church, Oregon City Evangelical Church for 15 years.
Josh holds a Masters of Divinity from Multnomah Biblical Seminary with a concentration in Spiritual Formation. Josh also has a double Bachelor of Science degree from Multnomah University in Bible/Theology and Youth Ministry.
Josh has a strong sense of community within the church and outside the church. He has spent his whole life in the Oregon City community and is passionate to serve the community we live in.
Josh has been married to his wife Anna for twelve years and they have two kids. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with the family, visiting Pip’s Doughnuts, working in the yard, podcasts, enjoying some great coffee and fishing and hunting (or hiking with rifles).
John Landaas
John grew up going to Park Place Church and is now honored to serve here as our Worship Leader.
John went to Northwest Nazarene University to study music and has been able to bring what he learned at college to Park Place Church. John enjoys leading people in worship and helping the church grow in its expression of worship. John also works as a co-leader of our youth group on Sunday mornings.
When he is not serving at church, John works for Parr Lumber and in his free time, he enjoys video gaming.
Nancy Duhrkoop
Nancy and her husband, Carl came to Park Place Church in 1985 when he was the pastor. After a few years as a stay-at-home mom to three young boys, Nancy resumed her teaching career and accepted a job at North Clackamas Christian School, where she taught music for 19 years. After teaching there she taught music in the Oregon City School District, including a year teaching at Park Place Elementary and Holcomb Elementary Schools. Nancy retired in 2017, after teaching for 29 years.
Nancy earned a Masters in Music Education from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and a BA in Music Education from George Fox College (now George Fox University, Newberg, Oregon).
Nancy enjoys leading children in Bible-learning activities, helping to plan special events, making balloon animals at church and community events, and coordinating the many volunteers who care for children at Park Place Church.
Nancy and Carl have three adult sons and three grandsons. Besides teaching children at church, Nancy also occasionally plays on the worship team. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to water aerobics, playing in a flute ensemble, fly fishing with her husband, hiking, reading, cooking, and anything made with chocolate!
Anna Shelton
Anna has served and led in youth ministry for about 18 years. Her love for youth ministry began after she graduated high school and was asked to help teach the small youth group at her church. In college, some friends asked her to help mentor a female high school student and that led to being involved in three different youth groups during college, teaching, planning events, leading worship, small group leadership and mentoring.
In May, 2019, Anna had a heart to begin a youth ministry for the youth beginning to attend Park Place Church. It’s been exciting to see this ministry grow.
Anna graduated from Multnomah University and has a BS in Bible/Theology and a minor in Journalism. Anna met her husband Josh while attending Multnomah and began helping to serve in youth ministry at Oregon City Evangelical Church after graduating.
She has been married to her husband, Josh for twelve years and they have two children. When at home, Anna loves baking and doing crafts with her kids and celebrating the seasons  of life. When she is able to, Anna loves hanging out at the local farmers market and coffee shops. She also works as a barista part time.
Eric and Brenda Heinsoo
Eric and Brenda have been married for 31 years. Their journey started out in college, Go Ducks! They came to Oregon City for work and fell in love with the community.
Eric and Brenda have a passion to help people come into closer fellowship with one another through leading the Growth Group Ministry. Growth Groups are a big part of growing your relationship with God and becoming closer as a church body.
When they are not busy with the ministry of Growth Groups you can find them teaching in their classrooms, helping in other areas of the church and volunteering their creativity to church and community outreaches. When not at church you might find them on their kayaks, hiking, walking their dogs, and enjoying time with their family.
Eric and Brenda have five kids, one daughter in law, two dogs and one grand pup all living under the same roof.
Amanda “Mandy” Thiele
Mandy is married and has three beautiful girls. Mandy loves being in the outdoors, riding horses and spending time with family. Mandy used to be a trainer for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
